The Swing Riots of Kent, & the Willis family emigration to the USA – 1836
So often in the past it was the case that national, political events impacted directly on our ancestors. This is particularly the case in the Willis family in Barham in Kent. Between 1835 and 1850 four families had emigrated to the United States of America.
