Welcome to the Roll of Honour – commemorating the 40+ men in my family tree who sacrificed their lives ‘for King and Country’ during the two World Wars.
These epic periods of conflict affected everyone – including my ancestors. This site only lists those who died in conflict; there were others who served their country and survived, while some were civilian casualties.
All information on the site has been drawn from personal recollection, private archives and various online sources and resources – all these are combined to help build up as full a picture as possible of each serviceman.
The site is separated into pages for the First World War and Second World War.
If you are aware of an ancestor who appears on The Willis Tree website, and was killed while serving in either World Wars but is not represented here, please contact me and I will gladly create a page to commemorate them.
Many thanks
Paul Willis
