This Ambrotype - an image printed on glass - was found among the effects of my late Uncle Fred Gurnsey, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 98. There are no marks on indicators as to who the sitter is, but my theory is it's a member of the Gurnsey family, most likely Charles.
Dating ambrotype photographs is fairly easy for genealogists. The…

"It is hard to see clearly, but my father Edwin (Jack) Fisher is the tallest man standing at the top of the bus (or probably the only man standing at the top of the bus). Near him, (I think with a mustache) is his father…
